POTTERS FIELDS PARK

Harris Dickinson’s directorial debut – Urchin – is currently out on streaming. The film stars Frank Dillane, Megan Northam, Karyna Khymchuk, Shonagh Marie and Amr Waked, and follows the story of a homeless young man in London, struggling with addiction and poverty.

The production shot at Potters Fields Park last summer, always a popular location thanks to its instantly recognisable backdrop.

The shoot featured the lead characters doing some litter picking. A relatively simple walk and talk scene, but Potters Fields at the peak of summer requires a good amount of marshalling! So this was a perfect opportunity to put two of our Set Ready trainees on set as marshals – a win win for the production and for our trainees who gain their first credits on a busy set.

Romy from the location team said:

“Thanks so much for helping organise Meric and Josh for our shoot, they were really knowledgeable, it was great! They both helped us deal with members of the public through pedestrian lock-offs in between takes, directing people around set etc. As well as being really eager to help at any moment with building and moving video villages in between takes and moving setups.”
