Set Ready, Level 2

Set Ready recently welcomed back a group of alumni for a first: the programme’s inaugural Level 2 course.

The session brought together trainees from across previous Set Ready cohorts, giving participants the chance to build on their earlier training, reflect on the experience they had gained since, and continue developing their understanding of working in film and television production.

Level 2 was designed to create space for alumni to deepen their knowledge, strengthen their professional approach and think more closely about where they want to go next. For some, the course also helped consolidate which path they want to pursue:

“More than anything, it has made me even more determined that Locations is the department I want to pursue a career in,” said Glen.

Selena described the course as “very thorough with lots to think about. Very professional and candid.”

For Sophie, it was an opportunity to connect existing experience with a stronger understanding of industry expectations:

“It filled gaps in my knowledge and built on my filmmaking production experience, helping me bring higher standards to any role I take on.”

Bringing together trainees from different previous cohorts also meant that Level 2 created a new space for alumni to learn alongside people at a similar stage of their development, share experiences and continue building their industry networks.

We’re looking forward to seeing how this first group puts everything they’ve learnt into practice and where their next steps take them.
