Slow Horses S5

Few shows capture London quite like Slow Horses, and for its fifth series the hit Apple TV+ spy drama once again took to the capital’s streets to bring its world of espionage, politics and intrigue to life.

Among the locations featured in the latest series was Red Lion Square, where we facilitated a shoot at Conway Hall. For the shoot, Conway Hall was transformed into the venue for a rally held by fictional mayoral candidate Dennis Gimball, one of the central political figures introduced in Series 5.

Anyone passing through Red Lion Square during filming would have spotted campaign posters, banners and signage promoting Gimball’s bid for City Hall, temporarily turning a familiar London landmark into the headquarters of a high-profile political campaign. Well done to the Location Marshalls, whose job no doubt included reassuring members of the public that there hadn’t been a snap election!

The production made use of both the interior and exterior of Conway Hall, with the Grade II listed venue featuring prominently in the finished episode.

Part of what makes Slow Horses so popular is its use of real London locations. The series has built a reputation for embracing the city’s streets, landmarks and public spaces, helping to create an authentic backdrop for its stories of espionage, politics and intrigue. We look forward to welcome them back for seasons to come!
