A Boy Called Christmas

FilmFixer gets festive with its London locations in ‘A Boy Called Christmas’, the newly released British Christmas fantasy film directed by Gil Kenan from a screenplay by Ol Parker and Kenan.

Keystone Crescent in King’s Cross in the London Borough of Islington features in the very first shot of the trailer, with a gorgeous snowy street scene.

The super-sweet original story is based on the book by the multi-million-selling author Matt Haig, and features a glittering all-star cast, including Dame Maggie Smith, Jim Broadbent, Toby Jones and Stephen Merchant.

Look out for filming in Regents Park Road, where a series of street scenes were shot. Maggie Smith gets off a bus in Regents Park Road and walks around the corner before heading down Sharples Hall St.

‘A Boy Called Christmas’ develops the story of Santa as a boy, through the exploits of Nikolas, a child from Finland. He sets out on an extraordinary adventure in search of his father, who is on a quest to find the fabled elf village of Elfheim. Joining him are his loyal pet mouse Miika (voiced by Stephen Merchant) and a headstrong reindeer Blitzen.
As well as shots of Keystone Crescent and Regents Park Road please see a photo of Kat, who worked on the movie as a marshall, and was a new entrant from our Set Ready training programme.
